New England Regional Assessment (NERA)

The purpose of this regional assessment of potential climate change impacts on the New England Region (the six New England states plus upstate New York) is to provide a local perspective on a global issue. The intent in producing this Overview document is to provide the most current insight on the topic of climate change, focused on local issues and concerns, in a relevant and accessible format of use to the public. The New England Regional Assessment (NERA) is one of 16 regional assessments, conducted for the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP), as part of the National Assessment of climate change impacts on the United States. The National Assessment is directed by response to the Congressional Act of 1990, at the request of the President's Science Advisor.
